The house follows the layout of a rural home in the Neamț region: porch, pantry and the room where many scenes of “Memories of My Boyhood” took place.

The house was built around 1830 by Petrea Ciubotariul, the storyteller's grandfather.

A memorial museum since 1951, restored in 2024, with the theme park next to the house.
